FINNEGANS 5 A SIDE

Each Summer Finnegans runs its popular 5 a side competition with Prebbleton Soccer Club every Tuesday night at the Prebbleton Reserve from October through to March.

There’s a family atmosphere and it is an affordable fun community sporting event. Players as young as four years’ old through to intermediates and seniors participate. It’s social on and off the field with players heading to  Finnegans Irish Bar to share supper and their stories after the games.

Mixed players of all ages and abilities play 30 minute games with juniors and intermediates starting at 5.30 pm followed by senior games at 6.00 pm and 6.30 pm. Age groups are 4-6 /  7-8 /  9-10 / 11-12 / 13-15 /  16+ yrs. Individuals will be put into a team in the appropriate age group however it is  encouraged that players find a team of the same age group when registering. Each team needs to supply a ref. Where there are four or more players each team must have a minimum of one female on the pitch at all times (junior / intermediate teams excluded). Each team can have up to eleven squad players with five active players on the pitch.  A full set of rules can be found on the club website www.prebbletonsoccer.co.nz
